1. Code of Conduct for Principal
- The Principal shall monitor and supervise the overall administration of academic programs.
- The Principal shall plan and manage budgetary provisions for each academic session well in advance.
- The Principal shall take appropriate measures to maintain discipline and a healthy academic environment in the college.
- The Principal shall constitute various cells and committees for the smooth functioning of the institution and convene meetings as required.
- The Principal shall encourage faculty members to pursue professional development through seminars, conferences, research papers, and publications.
- The Principal shall ensure proper coordination and cooperation among different departments of the institution.
- The Principal shall be responsible for preparing and submitting the annual report highlighting the academic and administrative progress of the institution.
2. Code of Conduct for Teachers
- Teachers shall conduct themselves in accordance with the ethical values and ideals of the teaching profession.
- Teachers shall express their views and suggestions freely and constructively in meetings for the growth and improvement of the institution.
- Teachers shall perform their duties honestly, sincerely, and diligently as assigned by the Principal or Head of the Department.
- In addition to teaching, tutorials, and practical work, teachers shall actively engage in professional development through seminars, conferences, workshops, and research activities.
- Teachers shall maintain cordial and professional relationships with colleagues.
- Teachers shall actively participate in extension activities, co-curricular programs, and community services.
- Teachers shall treat all students impartially without discrimination on the basis of religion, caste, gender, or economic background.
- Teachers shall motivate and guide students to enhance their academic performance and professional growth.
- Teachers shall avoid availing leave except under unavoidable circumstances and, wherever possible, seek prior permission with proper adjustment of responsibilities.
- Teachers shall support the institution’s green initiatives by adopting sustainable practices such as conserving electricity, minimizing paper usage, and promoting digital communication.
3. Code of Conduct for Non-Teaching Staff
- Non-teaching staff shall be punctual, sincere, and dedicated in performing their assigned duties.
- They shall maintain confidentiality regarding official records, documents, and student information.
- They shall extend full cooperation to the Principal, faculty members, and students for the efficient functioning of the institution.
- They shall treat all staff members and students with respect, courtesy, and fairness.
- They shall ensure proper maintenance of office records, files, equipment, and institutional property.
- They shall strictly follow the instructions and guidelines issued by the Principal and higher authorities from time to time.
- They shall refrain from any form of discrimination, harassment, or unethical behavior in the workplace.
- They shall maintain cleanliness, order, and discipline within their work areas and across the campus.
- They shall use institutional resources responsibly and avoid misuse or damage of property.
- They shall contribute towards creating a positive, cooperative, and professional work environment.
4. Code of Conduct for Students
A. Attendance
- Students shall attend all classes regularly throughout the academic year.
- A minimum attendance of 75%–85% is mandatory to be eligible for appearing in semester examinations.
- Students shall complete all academic requirements such as theory assignments, internships, practice teaching, lesson plans, and other curriculum-related activities within the stipulated time.
B. Discipline
- Students shall maintain decorum, discipline, and a respectful attitude on the campus at all times.
- Students shall not invite any outsider to the campus without prior written permission from college authorities.
- Students are encouraged to actively participate in the institution’s green initiatives by maintaining cleanliness, avoiding plastic usage, and conserving electricity.
- Students shall not indulge in any anti-institutional, anti-national, or antisocial activities within the campus or hostel premises.
- Ragging, harassment, or any form of misconduct is strictly prohibited, and strict disciplinary action shall be taken against offenders.
- Any damage caused to college property due to negligence or misconduct shall result in disciplinary action and recovery of compensation for the loss.
C. Identity Card and Library Card
- Students shall carry their college identity card at all times within the campus and during any official college activity.
- A library card shall be issued to students for availing library facilities.
- Loss of identity card or library card must be reported immediately to the Head of the Department and Librarian.
D. Mobile Phone Usage
- Students shall switch off mobile phones while attending classes and while using library facilities.
- Unauthorized use of mobile phones during academic activities is strictly prohibited.
