Component Details
Eligibility • Graduation in any stream (Arts/Science/Commerc ) from a recognized university.
• Minimum marks: 50% for general category, 45% for reserved categories (as per NCTE norms)
Duration • 2 years (Regular, full-time)
• As per NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) guidelines
Admission Process • Based on entrance test or merit (varies by university and state)
• Common B.Ed. entrance exams: UP B.Ed.
Documents Required • Mark sheet & certificate of High School (Class X)
• Mark sheet & certificate of Intermediate/Senior Secondary (Class XII)
• Graduation degree certificate & mark sheets (as per eligibility) Recent passport size photographs
• Aadhaar card or other valid ID proof
• Category certificate for SC/ST/OBC candidates (if applicable)
• Migration and/or Transfer Certificate (for candidates from other Boards/Universities)
• Character certificate and medical certificate (as required) Copy of entrance exam result or rank card (where applicable)
Course Structure • Core Papers: Childhood and Growing Up, Contemporary India and Education, Learning and Teaching, Assessment for Learning
• Pedagogy Subjects: Teaching of Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Hindi, English, etc.
• Practical Work: School Internship/Teaching Practice, Microteaching, Lesson Planning
• Workshops: Drama, Art in Education, ICT, Yoga, etc.
Scholarship Facilities • Scholarships are provided for M.Ed., B.Ed., B.El.Ed., and D.El.Ed. courses
• As per government policies and norms
